Travelling to Stoupa

There are several ways that you can reach Stoupa from the UK some of which we have described here for you.

Whatever method you choose we will be pleased to assist you. We can provide you with additional information, or book transport here in Greece for you.

Via Kalamata.

The local airport is at Kalamata where several charter companies from the UK have flights each week in the summer months, usually May to October. If you search for "charter flight" pages from the UK you should be able to find a reasonably priced flight to suit you. Car hire is available at the airport and the journey to Stoupa should take just over an hour. Taxis are also available that can either bring you direct or take you to the bus station from where a bus runs to Stoupa.

Flights to Kalamata also come from: Czech Republic, Holland, France, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

Via Athens

Athens airport is another good alternative. Flights from the UK can be booked with some of the discount airlines at very reasonable rates. The journey from Athens to Stoupa can then be made by hiring a car at the airport, taxi, or using the very efficient air conditioned bus/coach service. If you would like to drive we can provide comprehensive information about the route.

Via Coach

From Athens Airport take X93 transfer bus or a taxi to the main bus terminal for the Pelopponese, called Kifisos bus station. Take one of the frequent KTEL coaches to Kalamata, and then, depending on the time of day, the local bus or a taxi to Stoupa.

Via Taxi

Taxis at Athens Airport will likely be willing to drive to Stoupa. Negotiate the fee in advance!

Via Ferry

Ferries most days from Italy to Patras. Follow signs from Patras - Pirgos-Kalo Nero-Kalamata-Stoupa.
